I just bought a complete 73 1.7 f.i. in NJ with title, siezed engine, perfect interior, usual rust, for just about that amount. It was originally listed for $1500 but went for about half that. Keep looking and get a title, who knows you might discover you inner masochist and decide to keep it.

Honestly, I was really just interested in stashing away the light buckets, maybe doors and fenders if they look OK. Don't want to pay a lot of money for stuff I don't need though. Also, I haven't seen the car's condition in person.
