Wish you nothing but the best Ralph. I've never had the pleasure but there is a certain amount of godlike awe when anyone mentions your name in the 914 world. So you must be a great guy (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I used to visit his shop when he was in Framingham, Mass back in the 70's. For those who have not seen this video, it's worth watching. Don't know if it's been posted here before.

Hope he gets well.

If all Ralph had were stents placed he should be good as practically new in a day or two... There is a world of difference between stents and open heart surgery. One is a 'procedure' that takes an hour or so, the other is an 'operation' that takes a good deal of recovery time. Technique and anesthesia have improved dramatically over the last few decades but it used to be you could plan on six months or so of convelescence. Now, they have you extubated in the operating room, sitting up on the side of the bed in 8 hours, and home in a week or so... Not easy but if you are otherwise fairly healthy not "hell" either...

Best of luck to Ralph. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Ralph used to work on my 72 POS 911T. The PO had fried a good part of the wiring harness (first night I had it - wait no dome light, no glove box light - no instruments!) Ralph was good enough to help a guy out in a jam and find a used harness and install the wires I needed at a reasonable cost. His trophies, and racing memorabilia were in the front office.

Get better soon Ralph for yourself and the community that loves you.
