Got the cash together for 16x8's. I hear the 951 offset fits the rear of a flared car without spacers. Is this true and do I want late or early offset?

Is there a specific backspacing/offset that fits best? What 911 PN? I think with that GT flare group buy there is going to be a run for 8s. I got lucky to get my flares on last month. As I was looking for 8s, myself, I realized I better find some fast because they seem to be made of unobtaininum. $1,000 for 2 used rims? That's what I payed. They are in the mail. Seems like buying a bar of gold. Yes, from what I understood PN: 911.361.020.45 is best w/o spacers. I hope, that is what is on its way. Now, I will have a hard time finding rubber to fit that rim. For one thing I wanted to keep the tire dia. at or less than 24.5". If you look here http://members.rennlist.org/911pcars/wheelWts.html there seems to be one more PN that will work. 911.362.117.XX I don't know what that is all about??? The way I saw it, after all the extra work, spacers and studs, brgs... the 911 rim would be cheaper than 951s. I also looked for 17" options, maybe I should have looked harder (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) I am interested to see what you guys come up with. |

911 PN offset fit great, 951 will need .spacers I think you have it backwards. My Six with flares runs 16x8 951 wheels on the rear, and they fit perfectly without spacers. I am looking for another set for the front. Well, that would be par for my course. I seem to be collecting a lot of unused parts. I will know for sure in a day or 2. I may have a set of 8x16 911s FS. |

I have a line on 4 951 16x'8's. He also has 2 911 16x8's. I hope to pick them up this weekend. Knowing what fits without spacers would help me avoid buying the wrong ones.

So am I correct in saying that both fit but the 911 offset fits a bit better since it's closer to the fender lip?
