I'm adding heat to my car. Yay!
I pulled out the lever to check the connection for the wire and since it looked to be pretty crappy looking I wanted to give it the ultrasonic cleaning treatment. One little problem: The switch/lever came out a little too easily. The electrical wire had long since rusted away. I have the wiring diagram in the Haynes manual (good old pages 149-150) but I'm confused as to where to wire is actually routed. Forward? Aft? Color? Geez. Thanks! -marcus |

Thanks! -marcus Reading the diagram here http://www.pelicanparts.com/914/parts/Elec...rical_1971b.htm You'll see that the Green with white stripe goes to the relay panel in the engine compartment and operates the Fan Reley. The large wiring harness that runs on top of the tunnel next to the shifter should originate from inside the tunnel and you can locate the wire coming out near the fire wall. Its a tight spot to splice. Good luck |
