I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this question but what is the general impression or experience with these headers

http://www.ebay.com/itm/OBX-HEADER-EXHAUST...b0f&vxp=mtr

I'm familiar with the phrase you get what you paid for

Kerry hunter headers & super trapp- $520
Paragon products incl muffler- $822
Triad & muffler ? - $695
Tangerine w/muffler - $1199

I would appreciate your feed back

Thanks

I'm running Chris Foley's (Tangerine) set up. On the chassis dyno they proved their worth as we got 175hp and 175ft lbs of torque... and of course we were looking for the torque. Len Hoffman's heads had something to do with it as well. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Do a search here. The OBX headers do not fit correctly.

There's also European Racing Headers.
http://www.stableenergies.com/European-Rac...s/products/271/

There's a thread about OBX headers, they don't fit worth a shit.

I did the search and it is appauling that the fit is so horrible and that the customer service is non existant. I will definetely not be getting any of the OBX headers. I will just have to save my $ for the Tangerine headers.

These are knock offs of Auto Atlanta's type 4 race headers.
The AA headers are top notch, and when ordered with the ceramic coating, these can't be beat in performance /cost.
If you check the other obx knock offs, they also copied European Headers 911 style, and all of Hooker, Hedman, Gibson, product lines.
Of course all of the obx parts need a torch, hammer and machine shop in order to fit your engine.
Cheap isn't good and good isn't cheap.

Marty, how come you don't make /4 headers? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)
I have your /6 headers and they are top notch at an excellent price. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wub.gif)

Thanks for the update. What are you using for a muffler?

Mark, we manufacture the A A type 4 race header system for them, so it is an Msds high output, high quality product. The only differenece is that you purchase it directly from Auto Atlanta.
Gee, I wonder why certain products that I manufacture never quite fit when these off shore companies violate Msds intellectual property rights?

Martin - Any chance you would consider building your six headers with heat exchangers?

Never gave it much thought, not really an over competed market and could be profitable.
I would need to design and have dies made for the heat chambers. Probably a few years down the road, a little more time for the oe 9146 H/b's to fall off the cars and establish a larger market for us.
We are not set up to build exhausts one at a time like a job-shop, would need to build at least 50
sets

I've had the Euro Headers on my car for about 8 years. FAT Performance installed them when they built the engine and they have been fine. If I ever replace them though, it would be with Tangerine Racing Headers. FWIW

I would go either Triad or Tangerine. I've never heard the Tangerine personally, but I have no doubts about the quality. Triad systems have a GREAT sound and quality. I use to live about 45 minutes from Dave's shop and have bought two mufflers from him for different cars. I get lots of compliments on the exhaust note.

Triad

And a pic from a classified add here.

INteresting. That looks like Eurorace pipes to the collector, and then Triad from the collector back. Did Triad sell the entire system?

I had a Eurorace, but I could never get it to seal at the collector. Went back to SSI exchangers so I could seal my exhaust and also defog my windshield on the humid evenings and mornings we tend to have.
