It'll be at least $400. Way expensive for what it is, IMHO. Once upon a time, someone made a kit to assemble one of these yourself (front bezel all powercoated and silkscreened, and a back plate; you cut the OEM gauge back yourself and aquired gauges used). For some reason, I thought this person was Mueller, but my memory is vague and this was 5-6 years ago. I had one of these kits, but never assembled it and sold it with the car I bought it for.

A much cheaper alternative is to use a 911 oil temp/pressure combo gauge ($40-50 on ebay), and put the 914 fuel light in the slot where the oil pressure light goes in the 911 gauge. You lose the fuel gauge, but at least you still know when you're low on gas, and if your trip odo still works, it's a great indication of how much fuel you still have once you know how far you can usually go on a tank.

You also lose the brake warning light, but frankly, if you don't know the handbrake is on, you need help. Having a light tell me my brakes have failed seems superfluous, as well.

Here it is in a 914 cluster (with silver bezels and yellow indicator needles).

how much?

I called for a price, 450.00 with everything, bulbs sending units. Fuel gage plugs into the original wiring. They said it would take a couple of weeks to put one together.

here is the response i received via email:

The cost for the complete 914-6 3 cluster is $450.00 + shipping. The kit
includes a new temp sender, new oil pressure sender, mounting hardware, and
all lights. The fuel gauge is calibrated to your current fuel sender. The
new oil pressure sender replaces your current oil pressure switch, it
actually screws into the same hole. The new temp sender replaces your
current temp sender. Installation instructions I could give you over the
phone, we do not have any instructions printed up that we could send you.
Delivery time of the gauge is about 2 weeks.

another option. the plan was to install a 911 gage, but without a center console i would've had to drill the dash to put in a fuel gage, plus the added cost of the correct tank sending unit. the new plan at this point is to replace the temp gage from the 914 with the one from the 911 and change out the sending unit. my understanding is the 4 #'s on the gauge, 0033, is what you need for the correct sender. i'll have to live with the idiot light for preasure, if i go this route.

the numbered unit from the 911 will replace the one from the stock 914 oil temp without the numbers.

North Hollywood Speedometer also makes a different style combo gauge that will work with a 6-conversion. They take an old 911 turbo tach and replace the boost gauge with a fuel gauge. The stock 911 oil temperature and pressure combo gauge is retained on the left of the tach in the dash. I think it looks "clean" while the triple cluster gauge looks "busy." I have one in my 914-6 conversion car, but I don't have a digital camera for pics (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) .
I believe the cost of the Palo Alto triple tluster gauge and the North Hollywood Speedometer tach and fuel combo gauge are about the same. I thought there were pics of the gauge on North Hollywood's web site, but it seems to be down at the moment (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) ?

Of course as soon as I post, the web site works again. Here is a pic installed in the dash from their web site.
