The person who purchased my original 914-6 is in the process of a complete restoration and is in need of an original 914-6 transmission.

He has located one in Boston, but he is in Finland and has no way to pick it up or pay the "Cash Only" that the seller is wanting!

I am trying to help him finish the project. I know he is good for the money and could wire transfer the money to anyone that could help pick it up and ship it!

His e-mail is "Jukka Pohjalainen" <jukkapoh@gmail.com>

His forum name is OmaPossu!

Thanks for any help you guys can offer!

Here is a photo of the projects progress!

You can view his web based photos here including when he purchased it from me!

My guess is he will!

You could get it, rebuild it and ship it to him! He might be into doing that!

Well, I would have one of my minions get it and ship it to me (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) I have no time to go up and back and the charge would be more than shipping. Lemme see.

Don't want to get into the financing, but if he can get it paid, I think we could get it to Hershey to transfer to the doctor.

Sorry, but it is not an April Fools joke.....just timing!

I sold Jukka my 6 a couple of years ago and shipped it to Finland. I would guess he has close to $40K into it so far, and it looks to be of the highest quality work that I have ever seen!

I am honored to have been the previous owner of a car that will be around longer than I will!!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/aktion035.gif)

I posted his e-mail and forum name above. I will PM the listing for the transmission in Boston for anyone who wants to help another teener get the A+ treatment!

Hello,

This not a joke (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) as Jeff just wrote. Timing was perfect, 1.4..

John, Rich and Matt, I'll be back after little while.

Thank you for offer to rebuild this transmission but I want to do it myself. This hobby is for me learning new things (and 914 gracynes).

Biggest problem seems to be shipping, our companys UPS-deal give me 2450€ for pallet shipping Boston-Turku (Finland). This is BIT too much even for hobby expense (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif) and I have to pay tax for shipping+buying cost.

Now I am searching some way to have it shipped by ship. Boston is in coast? Is it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

So lets be patient for a while.

How much do transmission weight? And measurements? Mine is too far to go and measure..

Okkay,

I found one reasonable prised shipper to Finland. Only problem is that he will ship from Charleston to Finland. How to get transmission to Charleston?

There is another shipper who ships from New York to Finland. I get prices later.

How expensive and difficult (packing) is land transport in US?

I ship transmissions coast to coast for about $100. If you need specifics, give me a PM and I can go over it with you.

Quite big differences in shipping costs to Finland. From 2450€ to 100$. I like to choose 100$ (IMG:style_emoticons/default/evilgrin.gif)

Lots of PM:s send. I really want that transmission (casing).
Unfortunally seller do not respond to my mails (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

ps. my english is not so good, if I wrote something gracy or offensive it's because of that

I will be at Hershey later this month and can see if there are any there. If you are interested, PM me what you are willing to spend and I will shop within that limit for you.

Send me a PM with the sellers contact details.

I can call him and find out if the transmission you want is still for sale.
