What's a '76 914 with low mileage in this color combo and condition worth in today's market? I know these aren't as desireable as '73-'74 2.0L but considering this is the last year of production will this bring better value in the long term?

Generally the 75-76 cars will not have as much value as the 73-74 cars, but it all depends on condition. I personally would not hesitate to own this particular car, even here in CA ...it looks terrific...an indication it has been well maintained. Condition is everything with these old cars, and will drive the value.

I have a 76 with 71k original miles that I just got from the original owner. Completely original except for the tires.

Pretty sure the 1976 914s had vinyl decal on the rear.

Very nice car. Seems to be rust free.

No one ventured a price.

I'd say $10k to $15k.

Because its so original but has high mileage without a rebuild, assuming it has no rust in the usual places I would say a high of ~$15K. Don't like whats going on in the rear trunk floor, get that fixed. Where is the EGR valve and air injection (air pump)? Does it still have its Cat? Reinstall the smog gear, detail it out and you could be looking at a handsome increase in that value. Anyone interested in this car at its highest value wants it original and honest in every way, fully functional.

IMO....the car in question is in above 'average' condition. It's got to be worth +/-$20K.....but I could be wrong.
