It is time to replace the 42-year-old fuel lines in the tunnel of my 914.
I understand there are a few kits available. Any suggestions as to the best of the lot? And why you think they're better. Thanks, Jacquot |

I agree also as to Tangerine. Excellant quality and fit of course and you can get the complete kit with no chasing for extraneous parts.

Another vote for Tangerine. One of the best upgrades I've done on my car.

Here's his link, http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?showtopic=110158 I bought mine from Robert as well, and I was very pleased. His kit also comes complete with correct clamps and so forth. I think that I bought mine from him because he was the one that had the installation video in his thread. Either way, I don't think that you can go wrong. Both kits are priced very fairly for the peace of mind that you are buying. I can't see how you would be disappointed either way. |

Tangerine. Chris is a huge supporter of our cars with tons of great parts. His website is a 914 candy store.

I have Robert's in both of mine and they fit great. And Chris makes quality items so it all boils down to location basically. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

I bought the set from Pelican for around $99 as I recall for the 4 piece set and they seem well made. To be fair, I haven't installed them yet as I'm waiting on my repaint to be done and also I have no way to compare them to the Tangerine ones, but in general I've had good experience with Pelican across a range of Porsches.

I can't speak to the fuel lines but I can to Chris's availability = awesome! I was having a couple install issues (which weren't his products fault) and he's answering the phone, at night, cooking dinner - are you kidding me! I'd go with Tangerine - that level of service is ridiculously rare! Now I haven't tried him at 2 AM but... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/poke.gif)

Got to go with Chris! He gets way too much of my money but his stuff is top of the line. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) Tangerine racing is the origional manufacture of the product. Why would you settle for anything less then the origional? IMO. Andy |

Thanks to all for the recommendations!
It seems there is a clear 1st choice, with a solid backup. Thanks again, Jacquot |

I say, don't listen to any of them...
Buy a roll of stainless fuel line and bend your own... Summit or Jegs Take the savings and buy more parts you need. |

I got mine from CFR... I would have never figured out all the bends on my own and fitted it so well. Would highly recommend.

I used straight 3/8" brake line for 10 years... Just pulled it out, no issues.
