If have spend so much time trying to fix my stock plastic air cleaner it is now a waste of time...truly a victim of the dreaded fire breathing spit back due to a blocked enrichment nozzle on that side,yep it got melted.
I have an oil tank catch can but would be interested to see how people have vented back to the air cleaners which are the old type K&N alloy ones.

Was thinking of a connector box in the centre of the carbs to the rear and right angle fitting off the top covers connected to the catch can??

I vent my tank into a puke bottle. It has a little air cleaner on it. It helps stop the infamous smoke on start up.

Thanks Steve already have the catch can,maybe I should just put a breather filter on mine if it works for you.
Was really thinking I need some vacuum to draw of the fumes ??.

Mine...I vent the gas tank to the air filter lid.

My oil tank vents through a small K & N filter.

My puke bottle is in the rear trunk. Have not noticed any smell back there.

- the factory & private GT race cars had a plastic catch bottle in the trunk - often it was just a windshield washer bottle from who knows what - mine came that way from Germany in 1976

- go look at the pics on Armando's pBase site

engine vent hose to top of oil tank, then neck vent hose to bottle (then overboard thru trunk floor to under the car)

been running my GT mostly that way (with hose updates) since it arrived from germany in 1976

you want BIG hoses to relieve the pumping pressure & blowby that develops when running at 5-6000 on the track

most race orgs require a catch can that has 1. a "dipstick" or "view" and 2. a drain

- i replaced the oem plastic bottle with such in 1992 for SCCA & VARA regs - catch tank was custom made by Hedgehog Racing of H.Beach

- don't use one of those eBay catch tanks made for 4-cyl imports with tiny hoses

p.s. - the green hose is 3000 psi Ag sprayer hose - only thing i could find at the time that would hold shape under high temps & was correct ID

p.p.s. - i've seen folks use clear plastic hose on NASCAR rigs etc - it collapses under high temps - a bad thing - strangles your venting - don't ask how i know
