Hi, still having issues with my car idling rough after warm up with surging upon acceleration and bucking. No power after 3-4000rpm. Ive done all recommended checks, no vacuum leaks, replaced all sensors to new ones, replaced ECU. Ive done it all.

I have a new refurbished MPS which was calibrated by a professional but wanted to replace with another one instead to eliminate this being my problem.

Because Ive extensive checked everything more than once I want to now replace / swap my MPS with another that someone on 914World knows that really works.

Can anyone please help me. If you have a spare MPS (Part No. 0 280 100 043) that you know works would you consider one of the following options:

1. Send me your MPS for me to try and if it solves my problem will buy it from you. If it doesn't solve my problem will return it back in same condition.

2. Send me your MPS for me to try and if it solves my problem will return it to you if you need it back and will arrange to buy another one elsewhere.

Cheers

Michael

If your MPS passes the vacuum test (does it?) it’s likely your MPS needs calibrating for your engine. They aren’t always plug and play, especially if it’s been rebuilt.

You can use a simple hand vacuum pump like a Mityvac to see if can hold at 15 in. Hg without leaking down too fast, or at all.

For adjusting you'll need the tools from Tangerine Racing , and to really do it right you'll need to be able to read your air-fuel ratio when tuning.

Most everything you would want to know about the MPS can be found here:

did you try a new TPS , your bucking issue could be the throttle position sensor .

Would a bad TPS also cause the car to bog down with no power after 3000rpm?
