QUOTE (Mueller @ Jan 12 2005, 06:44 PM)
they look cheesy to me...or at least this set does due to the flaring on the ends....some people like them, I don't need to let the uninformed public know I am driving a Porsche (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smile.gif)

they would look better in black imho. check it out, they're also selling the rare 4-speed shifter.

they should be black when new....I guess you could strip them, but I'd avoid chemicals...not sure why he is selling them seperately instead of as a pair....

Looking at this guy feedbacks, I would hesitate to buy anything from him.
Half of his buyers complains that they received the wrong part or didn't receive anything at all (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/blink.gif)

Back in the 80's I painted mine the same Petrol Blue Metallic (911 color) as the car. I had gold BBS's and painted the raised Porsche letters gold to match. It looked great.

Can you blame him for calling it a 4 speed, as sloppy as they are?

Look at this guys sales history and that should tell you whether or not the "tilt" wheel is real.

i spoke to the guy over the phone, and he seems nice enough. knows nothing about 914s. apparently he was completely overwhelmed during the holidays and didn't get some shipments quite right. having been there myself, i know that can make some bidders a bit irritated, to say the least.

he's got a new user id now (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/laugh.gif) unless i'm mistaken, those are all the same parts, some of which ended earlier today with winning bidders. weird stuff man!
