I never drive my 914 in the rain. But I do want to have functioning wipers if I ever get caught in an unanticipated storm. I noticed one of my wipers seemed loose when I turned them on. When I removed both from the wiper arms I noticed they had different plastic adapters. One appears to be correct (fits snug and “clicks” on) and the other does not seem right (does not “click” in and stay on the arm).

I cannot seem to find just the adapter to buy online (but maybe I’m not using the correct search terms).

Where can I buy one? Or does anybody have an extra?

The one at the bottom in each of the pics is the one that appears to be correct and holds the wiper on to the arm. The one at the top appears to be incorrect.

You have hit the the problem on the head. Original 13" 914 blade hooks were 7mm wide. Universal adapters now come with 9mm slots. 2mm of slop side to side. Adapters only come with the new blades. The one on the top is what I have on the factory blade set. NOTICE it has four blocks to hold 7mm wiper arm in place.

So I either have to find someone with a spare 7 mm adapter or buy an entire new Bosch wiper kit (blade, frame/assembly, which come with the 3 assorted adapters)?

Any way to tell if the adapters that come with this one will work?

Mark,

This one says it will fit 7 and 9 mm arms. Should work right?

One of the reviews of that blade:
“The wiper blade and rubber are quality. The two attachments that came with the wiper blade, neither one fit the "wiper" arm on my '83 911SC correctly. I had to remove the clips from my old Bosch set to attached the SWF wiper bladed securely to the wiper arm.“
