https://www.ebay.com/itm/202599544075?chn=p...271e5d421354ddd

23,500 positive sales by this ebay seller. has what is claimed to be NEW outside door handles for $88 shipped.

anyone have dealings with this person? Sounds like a too good to be true, except for the 23,500 positive sales. It doesn't come with cylinder and key but in replacing my old one, I don't need that part.

Looking at this ad, in the sponsored section below there are 3 sellers all with the identical item (Jorg brand?), all in South San Francisco, prices differ by a couple dollars. Both left and right versions. Did someone start making these in quantity, or did this guy (same seller/different names?) find a treasure trove of them?

Any members live in that area? Maybe see if the seller will do a 'pick up'.

Buyer beware!!!

They are knock-offs.

Somewhere on here someone posted side-by-side pictures of these and an original.

Since a new one is about $275 I took a chance, and will let you know. Even if it's a knock off, it's better than a used scratched up one for $80. With his ebay sales #'s, it looks like an ok deal.

I got some repro door handles, and then had to file the insides to get the lock cylinders to fit properly. See my build thread.

I have first hand knowledge here. I've done 3 sets of these for customers. I will never work on them again! 5 of the six required many hours of custom fitting. The lock cylinders may or not fit. Many of the bores are too small, and tolerances are too close. You"might"get a good
one. I will say the finish is better than the NOS, OEM that I've prepared.

Good luck

An old thread but probable sales are still out there. Very bad fit. Hours with a file and dremmel making the cylinder fit. No good.

They made the parts BUT did not allow for the different layers of metal for the chrome plating process. Can't fix STUPID.

totally agree, they are junk because they do not fit the cylinder, but the only aftermarket game in town it seems. Al at Parts Heaven used to make them but sold the inventory (mostly right ones)

I had the same experience, gave up on it and ordered the Porsche piece. Expensive, but it did come with the cylinder, it fit and works great. I understand that some of the Porsche stuff is reproduction, but this item appears to be from - or identical to - the original supplier. Hopefully I won't need the other side for awhile!

I had the same experience with handles from Sierra Madre. My lock wouldn't slide into place so I asked for a refund. Their response was to tell me that I should file until it fit. I have never purchased anything else from them.

Sierra Madre is owned by Jorge (jorg). Put 2 & 2 together.

I thought I'd hit a gold mine when I discovered Jorg door handles. This thread is why I'm using OEM handles and having them rechromed.
