A little humor to start your day.

New GTI Commercial

Make sure you have sound when you play the clip...otherwise it's not that funny.

I like the new "My Fast" ads running during the olympics. I will not give up my R32 though!

I saw these this morning off NASIOC.
I like the first one the best, but the third was good too. All three of them made me laugh.

Funny. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif)

This is another spoof VW ad, which is - how do I put it - perhaps a bit too raw for the more delicate individual - don't watch it if you're easily offended.

My civic used to be a tad over the top. Not to bad GRM had it in the magazine as a readers ride one month. Now it is almost comppletly stock. It's not till you take a real close look that you start to notice things. Most noticable are the harness bars and nardi wheel and 225 45 azenis.

It's great though because even if I drive like a nut cops never stop me. Almost like they don't expect a stock looking civic to be going that fast.

Also idiots in slow imports don't bother me as much

The new GTI got a good review on the VW Vortex site.

http://www.vwvortex.com/artman/publish/art...icle_1622.shtml

All it needs is a set of stiffer springs to bring it back to Euro specs.

In the ad agency's original storyboard she snips them off and hands them to Jason telling him "you won't be needing these anymore"

I heard the idea made it past VW's legal dept. but was dropped later..

The new MK5 GTI is nice. I didnt care to much for it when VW first announced it, but its grown on me. Several months ago I had the opportunity to drive a full euro spec mk5 in both the 6 speed and dsg.... very nice handling from a stock vehical (so much better when my MK3 was stock, oh so long ago). Getting use to driving on the right side took me a minute to get use to, but it wasnt so much being on the opposite side of the car, but the shifting with my left hand that threw me off when i went to down shift while entering a corner.
