Yeah, Google's a good approach to finding apps, but I'd like to skip the headache of downloading/installing/uninstalling programs that suck. Anyone have a freeware app they like?

Thanks! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

Microsoft GIF Animator

Wow...this one's got one helluva oldschool vibe going...but it looks like a simple tool that does one thing it's designed to do. That's my favorite type. Thanks Andy! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/aktion035.gif)

I can't show you where to find a free version but I can tell you that there ARE free versions around. Bit To rr en t might be a place to check...or so I've heard.

The GIMP.
link takes you there. It's GNU software which is free to use.
http://gnuwin.epfl.ch/apps/gimp/en/index.html
**NOTE:**
Get the file GTK 1st. Click it on line right above the screenshot and then wait after GTK downloads, you then download the Gimp.

You don't have to sign up, pay fees later or give up any privacy or anything. Just download.
Does it all. Draw, paint, clone and animations and is free.
You can do all art with youre mouse but a graphic tablet works better.
Linux program that works with Windows XP and maybe Win98SE.
I use it more than PhotoShop.
While there go to Gimp users graphic place and see what they do.
Some are fantastic. Talent depends on the user.

Here you go...
Download Microsoft GIF animator from my freeware site:
Download Now

PS Microsoft abandoned this one in 1995 because it worked and didn't take take a DVD worth of data to install. In fact, GIF animator is only 291 kb and is a standalone program...you don't have to install anything...it just runs by clicking the .exe file.
