I saw this posted on my local SCCA forum. Apparently, Jim Liberatore, former president of the Speed Channel is attempting to start a new racing channel. They require a certain number of interested households to get on cable.

I agree that there is too much NASCAR on Speed. I also think there isn't enough other racing on Speed. I signed on as well.

Would be nice to have something OTHER than NASCAR. I enjoy all types of racing, but NASCAR is getting to be the WWE of racing. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/icon8.gif)

What a great idea, a channel dedicated to racing (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

It was bad enough when Speed was filling time with NASCAR. Now when they aren't showing that, it's either Unique Whips or one of thier other dumb shows. It's so bad that I rarely even look to see what's on.
