Hey guys,
My name is Curt and I am from Colorado. I have recently struck a deal for 2 914 2.0's. 1 is a 73 ( it is acctually in my avatar that pic is from 93 when the PO Bought it ) the other is a 74 that will either be restored (IMG:style_emoticons/default/welder.gif) or used as a parts car (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sawzall-smiley.gif) . Depends on what I find when I take possestion. I hope to have a fun ride here and cant wait to get my first porsche!

BTW Here are some pics that were sent to me. The Black car is the 73, the pics by the garage are currently how they look. The other pics are from I am told 93 94 when the PO bought it.

Interesting flares . . . I would like to see more pictures of those. Does that car have real minilites on it? Does the 'formerly black' car have a steel slant nose? It looks pretty cool (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

jd74914, It is a steel Slant nose conversion. I am not sure on the lights. I will be taking possestion this coming spring. Currently they are out of state till I get some work space to store them. As for more pics of the cars I will try to get more as soon as I can. I do have about 80 but just no timr to load them to my fotki till next week.

Thats John old car - it is my understanding that it has been in either Wyoming or Montana for quite some time. I met john 10 years or so ago and he had just started pulling the car apart. He did have a webpage up showing everything that he was working on. I am surprised the sail panels are in that good of shape, as I am pretty sure he told me that the body kit created some serious issues when he pulled it off.

I am also fairly confident that he modified the hood/light configuration that is seen in the older pics.

I will see if I can find his old webpage address.

I think the minilites he was asking about are the wheels, not the lights. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

Scott You are correct!! That is Johns old car. I got in contact with him thru a mutual friend. They are up in montana at the moment and unfortunitly for me will be up there till this spring (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) . I am putting funds togeather for the cars as we speek And as soon as I have work space they will be down in colorado. The 73 is going to be painted adriatic blue. John has done alot of repair under the sail pannels from the old body kit. There will still be some rust repair (IMG:style_emoticons/default/welder.gif) when I get a hold of them but that dosent scare me. Also the dual webers are ok by me as well (IMG:style_emoticons/default/shades.gif) . I hope to have them here by may to begin work on them.

Gint I would have done Lunch but unfortunitly I work tuesday thru sat 9:30 to 7pm, So mabye next time. And with as many 914 guys that live next to me I think we need to get togeather so I can seriously poke around the 914 and get aquainted with them.

I think you are right, My bad... I was told they are pedrinni rims. So It is a very good possiablity they are mini lights.

You should head over to Josh's in Lyons Saturday. You'll get a good look around a 914. Even a chance to get your hands dirty.
