I'd love to know how much weight they save... I will weight them but as I recall it is about 4 pounds. same as about a half gallon of gas. every used one i have seen is warped forward. The RSR cars had a much beefier cross member The RSR crossmembers were forged. They are very hard to find. One of my customers bought one for his RSR and paid something like $7K and that was a while ago. |

The RSR cars had a much beefier cross member That is one of the things that worried me about that mount being made out of aluminum. I'm also planning to use mine as a forward brace for the master. https://tangerineracing.com/shop/ols/produc...-cylinder-brace Looks like I'll stay steel... |

They tend to get bent when someone stuffs their 911 into a curb or worse. They don’t just bend on their own. Porsche used them on later G body cars, so much heavier than a 914. There’s nothing inherently wrong with them and if you are trying to trim pounds off the car, they are low hanging fruit and they look cool. It’s not a big performance upgrade, especially for the money but if you are already going “all in”, then they are just one more cool part to add to the list.
