Cute angel.

My wife Katherine is so smart!. Thought to ask our neighbors if we couldl borrow their snow blower since they would be out of town over the weekend. I ran the darned thing 6 hours today clearing our driveway and the neighbors too.

We had just shy of 30". Zach, can you stop wishing for snow now?

Oh ya, a word of caution. Dont let her play in the igloo unattended. I heard tale recently of a kid that build a tunnel in a snow bank only to have it cave in on her and suffocate her. sad.gif

Sasha is like Jody, two step outside and that was enough. hissyfit.gif

It was just me and Lila all day. Yes i also thought about the "cave in" and structured it just so, in case it caved in we would have an escape. smile.gif

I would never leave either of my kids unatended. That was never an option smilie_pokal.gif

I asked Noel to take a pic of me shoveling out our street. I was board, and looked forward to the exercise. She did not get the whole pic, only about half of it. I shoveled out about 100yds + around my car and the walk way. We got a solid 24" here.

Work is closed tomorrow again in Baltimore. Nowhere to park for the teaching staff and administration. I always LOL at this whenever someone started touting how great it is to have a "pedestrian campus." Back when we had on campus parking, we never had these problems.

Soo we are off tomorrow. And probably Wednesday too if the next storm is as powerful as it is reported to be. another foot? maybe more? Bring it on!

Not all was good in snowyland...

I was cooking Sat. night and looked out the back window.

I coud see lots of red lights between the houses behind me....

Went on the deck and...

Holy Crap!

One of our neighbors house was on fire...

Stealth firemen. They drove up without sirens, and worked quietly.

Typically Winter Snow fall in Northern U.P.(Upper Peninsula) Michigan is about 300" average. Anyone who dies during the winter months stays on ice till they bury them in July. confused24.gif

Now THAT is snow. But, you are ready for it. You know its going to be there. In the MidA we seem to be blissfully ignorant that snow happens and no one is prepped when it does.

Still, I'd love to see big snow like whats pictured above. Thats just incredible.
