Guys - I suggested the "cultural center" to Thomas as the meeting place. I think that's what it is. It's painted green like a ranger station but it's got 3 parking lanes out front (I assume for school buses). When I was there today I didn't see an address. If you go north on Azusa (Hwy 39) from the 210 freeway you'll drive through old town Azusa (speed limit is 25) and eventually into the newer houses. As you get out of that community heading into the mountains the road turns right and the center is on the right after that bend. There's nothing past it on the right so it's hard to miss. If you go over a bridge you've gone too far.

Jim - Assume you'll probably come up the 605. The 605 ends at the 210. Take the 210 east, exit at Azusa and go north (towards the mountains).

...I wish I could be there...
When I was stationed at Norton, (1973), I use drive up to Mount Baldy, then west and then south on the very roads that are on your map. I use to hot shoe it through Big Bear and the Kern River Valley...I miss the moutains.

I suggest a run from Bakersfield to Lake Isabella and back....
Have fun....

This could be it. Or it could be a huge water tank. Or a HUGE strawberry stand. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lol-2.gif)

Yup, that's it Elliot. It's right there. Looks like this was taken when it was still under consruction. You can see the parking lanes.

The area circled in the maps is correct, I spent about an hour last night trying to find the address thinking that it was a "ranger station."

For those of you coming from the West / Northwest; we're going to try and meet up at the LaTuna Canyon / 210 off ramp. There's a parking area on the South side of the freeway. Hopefully we'll be there around 7:30 - 7:45.

If you're coming from the North (i.e. 126, 5, or 14 from Palmcaster) the Santa Clarita crew is going to meet up earlier and drive Little Tujunga over the mountains to the 210. If you want to join us there we'll be meeting at 7am at the Shell Station off the 14 Fwy at Sand Canyon.

PM me if you want to join us so I know to look for you.

Question.....sort of off topic....

New rotors and pads bearings ect. on the car. Should I break in slowly .....do some driving tonight before this run?

I have stock set up so Hayes says to put at least 120 miles on it before "spirited braking"

Yous all thoughts.... Also is there a cell contact for tommorrow?

Robert,

We are glad you are okay. We heard from the bikers that you had a tow with no problems. Quite honestly you are the luckiest guy on the face of the earth today.

Pics to follow.....a little faith doesn't hurt either. There just ain't no emoticon for what happened we were all a little dumbfounded. I live down the hill so just got home.

Gotta resize the photos... the resolution is too high. Great view of Mt. Baldy in the backround. These might become famous in the NARP World.
