Ok... So I hope these pics load. Absolutely beutiful day today in the Angeles Forest, and this drive was absolutely great. So we reach the top of the divide and Mt. Baldy Road narrows down from about 7,000 feet with some great winders towards the bottom.... I have been on this road before and no.....guard rails. Welll I take off in my 1.7 and take point....sixes behind me, it wasn't long before I succumbed to letting the braver pass. So they did.

Somebody joked at the top that we had 13 cars go up....

These pics just don't do justice to the 1,000 foot drop on the other side. Baldy is over 10,000 feet high btw for those who don't live in SO. Cal. It was a beutiful drive and fun. Robert is okay....thank God.

I post what I have.

I'm gonna be Fnn famous!! but I don't want this kind of fame!!

Let's put my FUBAR up to severe driver error in the heat of the moment. It was an excellent drive up to THAT point. My car pushed. when I was coming out of the turn.

oh yeah,, on the way home my windshield blew off even though I rolled up the windows. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif)

It was fun...I'm sure there will be other pictures. Robert's car was the first I had seen with a rotary motor in it....this is the other side of the berm. Hard to appreciate the drop.

Maybe it was some strange device of nature that it became perched on that rock like that....some type of wierd sacrafice to the 914 world?

Anyway all of us were glad he was okay.

You know the funny thing was.... was that AFTER we found out Rob was okay... everyone was trying to figure out HOW we could get that car off the rock and down the hill okay. We could save it. We are truly one of a kind.
