Someone I know is wanting to buy a taildragger...

they pointed this one out to me: http://wyoming.craigslist.org/cto/1420638639.html

What do we look for? What questions do we ask? is this something worth looking into?

is it worth trading his 440, 4spd 'Cuda for? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif)

That model absolutely needs a PPI by a knowledgeable wrench... I see no mention of a top end, so assume none has been done.

He would be a fool to trade his Cuda for that. The Cuda is still going up in price the 91 Porsche is still depreciating.
Its also a whole different level of fixing/servicing, unless he farms it out.

Two words: OIL LEAKS! Followed by two more: HEAD LEAKS! Fortunately, a new long block is only about $12K, exchange, so it's not as bad as it could be.

Never trade a 440 cuda for a 911 unless it's an original 73RS. (coming from a guy that drives a 911 not a 440 Cuda)
