My WC wrench buddy has always sold ELF oil, loves it. I put it in the DD's works fine.
About a year ago they changed the name to Total, I wonder who's marketing genius came up with this wonderfully exciting name. Now there changing to FUCHS...who's going to want oil that fuchs your engine? Love the rims...but the name as a brand name? doesn't translate well in english. Isn't ELF/Total a French Company? Why would they use a name that is associated with German stuff?

"Elf oil goes nuts" - sounds like midget porn.
also a quick google seems to indicate "Fuchs" is a french name not just german for "fox" |

I worked with them two years ago on a sponsorship deal. Total is a French petroleum company - Elf is the name of thier oil brand. As for the name Fuchs who knows where that comes from.

There is a German company named "Fuchs Petrolub AG" that uses the logo you list...
http://www.fuchs-oil.de/home_en.html And there is the French company named "Total"... http://www.total.com/en/home_page/ I can't find any relationship between the two? |

Maybe I am confusing them but the logos are real close...but then I am half blind. |

Isn't ELF/Total a French Company? Why would they use a name that is associated with German stuff? Not only is "Fuchs" a German word, but so is "Elf" and "Total" ... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) I grew up with "Elf" oil, they used to do a lot of racing sponsoring in Europe in the '70s ... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) Andy |

I don't know if the stuff is any good, but I would pay to watch these Fuchin girls wrestle in oil (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rocking nana.gif)
