I shaved mine on my -4 and glad to see them gone. traced out and cut plugs to weld in and grind flat but still had a very thin layer of filler to make the area perfect.

Ummm, here I go again! Rant to be kept short.

Euro and US spec 914's are subject to the COA of the car. i.e., if it's a US delivery 914, it WILL have the US side markers. No exclusions.

Those that remove these lights render thier 914 "non-original".

Good question, but nuff said!

Be careful! There are Chinese knockoffs lurking out there.

I've got one new lens and housing still in the box, think it's a passenger side.

well, non original to what? it would be original for a euro. thanks for the pics. its a thought. all the side markers i get have broken off tabs. just like my door handles. i have a pile of them and none of them work.

i like the look of the euro car with the orange rear and the non bumps.

but, we will see....

My non-original paint 914 had them exorcised in 1979.

If I had original paint they'd still be there. And still be ugly.

but not wired as side marker. Wired as turn signal repetitor that is mandatory in Italy.
