What color was the rack and pinion protective cover painted and how do you get the originial oil tank back in the left fender well without scratching the fresh repaint. It was a bear to get out.

dont cut anything ....it will go in ...remove the 3 screws under the rocker panel and lightly pull it out and block with a small piece of wood ...that will give you more room to move it in ...there`s a thread here somewhere...take your time it will go......cover is black

Put some vacuum caps over the studs on the tank.
