Are you happy now Zach (IMG:style_emoticons/default/slap.gif)

I'll be happy if we get crushed with snow this weekend. But I think that storm is supposed to stay south again, mostly.

Everything we got Tuesday night was gone by 1 in the afternoon. Where is the fun in that?

Your forecast is for 1-2" at this time. But there's time for you to come to NoVa for the 16-24" forecast (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif) My poor dog is only a foot tall, how's she gonna poop?

Yep.. Looks like I'll be driving the Pinzgauer home tonight! Thank god for locking diffs!
Calling for 5 inches here.

locking diffs in the snow (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) would be my first choice! unless i wanted to be sideways. But im not driving and its not my car..Limited slip is the way to go in the slick stuff ..JMO

You haven't seen the driveway to my shop.. Its on top of a mountain.

When we get any snow, even the Pinz needs to be locked on all 4 corners to make it to the top.

I agree with you there...LSD sucks ass in the snow...locking diffs are premium.
With loads of torque an lsd is a joke on a diesel with a plow.

Ohh, my town is right on the line. If the storm tracks north just a tad, we'll have 2 feet. If it stays south just a tad, we will only get 7 inches.

C'mon! Gimmie lots of snow!

Dude.

If I wanted to look at several feet of snow for months at a time, I would live in Minnesota or Alaska or some place where they know how to deal with it. As it is, all it does for me is provide an excuse to set up some new hardware and to watch movies with my friends across the street.

But hey, I bet you could bunk with Scotty for the weekend. Tell him I sent you. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Yer dog's gonna die....

Seriously, I had the same problem when I lived in Northern Maine. Dog usually went in the shoveled areas as the snow was over my head at times.

Never forget when I put her on the snow crust at 30 below to do her thing. Poor thing's paws broke through the crust and her unprotected belly landed on the snow....

All four paws kicked into overdrive, but she was unable to get traction in the powder below. Thee poor hound went nowhere....

The look on her face... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/av-943.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/av-943.gif)

Zach, sounds like you're getting your wish.
My brother just told me over an inch/hour of snowfall right now. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/w00t.gif)

very pleased, yes. between 26 and 23 inches, depending on where I measured. Over 4 feet in some of the drifts.

A good bit of the drive is already plowed out, and the streets around me are passable. But, there is a 4 foot snowdrift between me and the bus, that I have not even attempted to move yet.

I am thinking about turning on the 70KBTU heater against the drift and waiting to see how fast it can melt a path through it. Whatever I do, I am waiting for the wind to die down. VERY windy!

I asked Noel to take a pic of me shoveling out our street. I was board, and looked forward to the exercise. She did not get the whole pic, only about half of it. I shoveled out about 100yds + around my car and the walk way. We got a solid 24" here.
