They are always at the swap meets. A few bucks?
I picked up a green knob one for almost nothing a while back at a salvage yard in San Diego. |

Just yellow available new. Every few weeks or so, they will pop up on ebay. Usualy quite cheap.
The cigar button has been changed/superceeded too. Headlight and hazard are still the same. |

QUOTE(Bleyseng @ Mar 26 2004, 06:28 AM) 70-73 have the green fog lite switch... Sorry, but our '73 came with the amber/yellow plastic insert; wife is the original owner! |

Is it a late 73? The early 73 cars I have seen all came with the green switch.

It's the exact same switch as the rear window defogger excecpt for the little green disc in the knob.
This switch was also used on many beetles. I found the knob w/proper disc in a box from my parts car and I had a defogger switch, so I know it's the same. I seen them on the bay for 15-30 bucks. Hmmm...I guess I have the wrong one on my 74, it's a green disc...oh well, it works. |
