Can someone confirm that the oil pressure switch (the one for the oil indicator light) is a ground switch. I'm pretty sure that this switch is normally grounded. When the engine is running the switch is no longer grounded and the indicator light is extinguished.

Yup. Oil pressure lifts the contact off its seat, and breaks the connection.
