I ordered front and rear GT fiberglass hoods with the balsa reinforcements.

One of the hoods was damaged in transit (freight company punctured the box).

There was also a slight manufacturing defect in the hood (a depression in the middle of the top surface).

Anyways, Neil from Getty Design shipped the replacement rear hood and it arrived yesterday. Perfect shape and in a shipping container that Houidini would have problems getting out of. No more depression in the top surface either!

Excellent service and really, really high quality stuff!

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/finger.gif) Geoff.... you know my dirty little secret.

Parts are going in storage for now, so we can sell the house.

Car is being yanked from the body guy to a new one this next week (tired of the current guy picking his ass forever on the car).

So the project is on hold for about 2 months while I sell the house and move...

I bought the two piece fiberglass GT oil cooler shroud from Getty design.
I thought the quality was much better than the one from AIR and other sources.
Plus I do not know of anyone besides Getty Design who has the air deflector that goes inside the shroud.

Your trunk lids look great.
That will be an awesome GT replica when your done.

I had one of those body guys. Car got worked on slowly for close to two years all the while the guys crying about being $broke$ and needs money for supplies. I finally yanked an unfined car and paid another $1200. to get it finished... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/fighting19.gif)

Yea that was really dumb!!
I have had my car since 86 it will never be done.
These cars are never ever really done.
There just time consuming money pits.
There I said it, I feel much better now.

What will you use to prop the lids open? What did Porsche use on the real GT cars?

Andy, can you get us some German broom handles?

Can't wait to see my new wall art. Should be here early next month.
