These clips secure the pin (999.166.055.02) that attaches the e-brake cable to the caliper arm. The clip has two 'fingers' which slide into a groove in the pin (999.166.055.02). The clip also has a 'tab' which slides over the end of the pin (999.166.055.02) and keeps the clip from vibrating loose.

The clip is made of spring steel and was originally cad plated.

The clip 'fingers' are often bent farther open than they should be through years of abuse. They can be bent back into shape carefully with pliers. Deformed clips can fall off unexpectedly.

The clip is pictured on the left, and the pin (999.166.055.02) is pictured on the right.
