Unique and attractive appearance. Low profile, light weight, easy installation and maintenance. Perfectly suited for dual carbs and ITB style fuel injection.
Impeller style fan efficiently moves air to the cylinder heads and provides balanced cooling at lower overall temperatures than the stock pancake system.
The street system keeps even 200 hp large displacement engines well within proper operating temperatures.
Our competition pulley has a lower fan ratio to work at higher sustained rpms, and drives the alternator at a lower speed to free up additional horsepower.
A single drive pulley (1:1 ratio) is also available for total loss ignition full race engines operating at 8000rpm with ducted cooling enhancements.

While this system borrows its fan from the GM Corvair, everything else is custom designed and fabricated specifically for the Type 4 engine using CAD/CAM and CNC. In usage there is no comparison to the original.
Benefits include low horsepower consumption; modern flexible fan belt running on matched pulleys minimizes likelihood of failure; (a warning system is included should an unexpected failure occur); 914 alternator driven by a separate belt in the stock location.
Proven by more than 10 years of SCCA road racing competition, including multiple Regional championships and National race wins.

Current price: $1599, shipping included.
