Agreed. I'm very pleased with the early response to help Dave. Good job all.

The donations are rolling in. Every 15 minutes 3-5 people donate.

Sometimes I wonder why I spend so much time dealing with 914's and the web.

Its the people.

ditto -

I have not met a better group of guys/gals. Living in LA you encounter so many _ssholes and people rarely speak and are outright rude. It is relaxing for me to come home and read this bbs and get my questions answered by a bunch of cool people.

Oh.. Bruce if you only knew...

Novato (where I am) is the home base for the "RobotWars" crap.

His wheel chair will smoke the tires and do zero to sixty in under 4 seconds if I have anything to do with it...LOL

I love this BBS.

Brad, I want to build a remote control cart...
Kinda like a wheel barrow, to carry firewood about 50 feet...

4 wheel drive a must (we have snow)
Tires about the size of lawn tractor front tires.

Should be about 2 feet wide, two to three feet long, four wheel steering,,,
Enough torque to move about 60-100 lbs of wood up 12 inches in the snow without bogging down.

Very low gearing, not that fast.
Battery powered.
I need the motors, controls etc... no clue what size to use etc.....
This is for my elderly inlaws who only heat with wood, but they will start to have problems very soon hauling the wood into the house...

Brad, that's funnier than shit (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Between the robot wars & Monster Garage Korijo would never need to touch the ground. I liked your statement about needing a f*ked up pose in a picture. I heard Korijo laughing all the way down here!
I love it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/clap56.gif)

I'm jacked up in the head (seriously) I give the shirt off my back to people for a lot less than what I receive. I enjoy helping. I enjoy making people laugh. I enjoy people in general. I sit and think sometimes about whether people would rally behind a "health issue" that I had. This paves the way. What goes around comes around is spoken by me quite frequently.

Dave is too far away from me for me to build his car for him. As soon as I found out Geoff and ChrisR where helping him... I knew there where other people out there like me who didnt mind lending a helping hand to those who need it.

I have my "helping group" also and I rarely thank them...

Mike Mueller
Andy Schimdt
Jon Wats
Jason Samson
Chung

All have put in there time. I would go "gung ho" for any of them if the need arose.

Brad just brought it to my attention it's been a while since I posted! I too am proud to be a part of the 914club. I love my 914 but love the people who own them too. Everyone I've met has been so helpful & I look forward to seeing & meeting everyone at some event! I will try to make at least one California event this year! Way to go Brad & Bruce getting this set up for Korijo.
Thanks to all- Jamie

ya, this board rocks, but I'm still having nightmares about that picture of the really, really, really old nekid lady (IMG:style_emoticons/default/barf.gif)

You guys are right though, It's the people.

I don't have a 914 right now but I still hang on the 914 boards and go to the 914 meets. I enjoy being with 914 people more than most of the 911 folks.

Has anyone posted about this fund on the rennlist 914 list yet?

Yup, wifey's name. She is the backbone of this family. This will help her "relax" more. Its taking a load off her shoulders by not having to rush back to work to help pay for this shit. She already takes care (full time) of 3 kids, including me (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Sammy, Sorry about that. If I could take it back I would....NOT! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

Geoff, can I get in on that list? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)

I mentioned it in a different place, but I truly agree that we have quite a lot of truly outstanding folks on this bbs.

I was member 100 Jan 7, so what's that? 3 months?
The feeling of "community" here is so much better than
any other that I've known, and we are so spread, it's awesome.

I'm glad that this place is around, but I'm really glad that there are people like all of you.

Brad, I'm gonna send you 5 or so posters of the 914club t-shirt logo thingey for the SSI swapmeet, they will be in 2 or 3 different sizes 13x19 and 11.7 x 16.5 I think and are suitable for framing. I'm thinking that maybe they could be auctioned off at the SSI swapmeet and go to Korijo's fund. I'll send one to you for your shop as well.

Everyone else, see Dave's post about the T-Shirt on Ebay, let's get that thing bid up. Last time I checked I was still high bidder and it was under $50. Dave does good work and this is a good way to help out as well. Let's get it up to $100 or so!!!

I'm not sure what the posters are running you to have made... but I will need more than 5 to auction off...LOL I'll sell them off at the gate before they even get out of their trucks/cars ..(That I hope Jon Wats and Mueller can run again this year)

I can sell snow to the Eskimo's.
