Congratulations! Tell us more about the qualifying times and the race. Just to clarify, i'm not driving. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) I'm helping Tom out this weekend who runs the green car in GTS (Toyo Spec Class). We ran a low 2:01 during warmup and a high 2:01 in qualifying. The next guy was 1 second off. With PRC, they always do a lottery style drawing for positions in the race based on the top 6 qualifying cars. We ended up in 5th place at the grid for the race, but Tom quickly managed to get into 1st after only two laps and stayed ahead of the field for the rest of the race. By the end, we were 8 seconds ahead of the 2nd car. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/aktion035.gif) Andy |

Today was pretty much a repeat of yesterday. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif)
Except for that broken starter ... If you think changing the starter on a 914 is a chore, try that on a 911. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) 1st in qualifying put us in 4th position at the grid. Tom quickly got around the 3 cars in front of him and stayed ahead until the finish. Two class wins in one weekend, yeah! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smilie_pokal.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) Andy PS: The fastest time today was a low 2:02 during the race. |

Anytime you can do a 2:02 around TH, you are cooking. Congratulations. (AGAIN) Thanks. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Part of the fun with the GTS class is that all the cars are very similar. Same wheels and tires for everyone and the motors are very close in HP. You can either run a 2.7L, 3.0L or 3.2L with various mods allowed. Our minimum car weight is 2400 lbs and you get to carry around 'penalty' weight for winning. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) 25 lbs more for 3rd place, 50 lbs more for 2nd and 75 lbs for 1st, capped at 2550 lbs total. So, now that we won 2 times in a row, our minimum weight is 2550 lbs. Btw. we're running a 3.0L with aftermarket FI ... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) Andy |
