Your call man but if I had it sold & paid for. I wouldn't risk taking it anywhere. Even with permission. All it takes is one Lady ( (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lol-2.gif) ) not paying attention to make things with your car go very wrong. I realize that is more of a worst case scenario. Why take the chance (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif)

Even after someone has only said "I'll take". I don't even touch the car anymore.

If you have the mulah in hand, then hands off. Not worth the risk.

How many cars have I bought and sold since you've known me? I'm speaking from mucho experience. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/chair.gif) I know you're both right. That's why I was happy to get that last autocross weekend in before the deposit. Still would be nice to have one final goodbye drive in it.

Okay, I may still be there though. I'll leave the 914 in the garage and bring the family down instead (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif)

Good man, not that you need to listen to us idiots. But good.

You'd probably be just fine, but oh dude, it just takes that one person to rear end you and...... well you know.

Isn't that why you keep it well insured though? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) I would think itimportant to make sure you have more than enough insurance until the car is in their hands and then some.

Yeah, but 914's unless you have a "Stated Value" are always that argument with the ins company it seems.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

Either way, back on subject of Sunday, if you drive the 914 or not, gonna be great to see a bunch of 914 nuts there!

Plus if you had bought & paid for a car. Would you want it after it was in an accident? Before you had even gotten to drive it. I personally would want my money back period. Insurance is great but typically are always a pain in the ass getting a fair claim. Again why take the risk (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Kinda on topic, working on getting my 914 ready for Sunday last night when all the sudden, Jon and Chris show up and start wrenching on the 914, sweet!

Thanks for the help last night guys. I appreicate it.

We pulled the rear window which was filled with silly-cone. Jon cleaned the channel for painting while Chris installed the cat-bypass pipe and cleaned up, installed some other seals.

Kinda wish I would have taken a couple of pictures. Always cool to see a handful of 914-ers wrenching away on an 914.

Really close to back on the ground now. Paint around the rear window channel should be all dry tonight, I'll re-install that.

Rocker covers install, engine wire harnes and put interior back together. Should be about it.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)

Still have a couple days to get it done to!

Just in case we have any more locals who might want to join in. We want to see a heavy 914 presence.

Do you think they will have a "Track Rat" class at the show? I might be able to win an award for the most "racer tape" or "most creative use of baling wire".

Cheers,

Eddie

Thanks! I should be cool at this point. I already solicited my slave labor for the week. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) I did another 3 hours on it last night, that's 15 hours this week. I'll have most of tomorrow to finish things up. All I really have left is mount the battery, put rocker covers back on and interior backpad/seats.

Couple hours should square it up.
