I have gone through about a half hour of searching, and I can find some mentions of someone making a font the comes pretty close to the style of font used to make the Carrera script. I am interested in using that style in the future to make a vinyl graphic that mimics the Carrera, but says "Neun Vierzehn" Mostly I want to use the font to get close to what it should look like before tweaking it into its final form.

Anyone have this?

Or, do any of you old time Mac users have a .ttf called Stuttgart? It is supposed to be very close.

IIRC that "Stuttgart" font had several names/clones in other formats for PCs, linotypes, etc. back in the day.

You might try picking up a bunch of font CD's cheap & search through them for it's "sister font".

I've gotten inexpensive clearance font CDs at softwareoutlet.com before for my biz stuff.

Anything you get will be 'close' only.
There is no real font.
Porsche draws the car names individually and the letters are tweaked to make it all 'look' right.
Sure, they have some master letterforms, but they don't just type a car name into Word and have an emblem pop out.

Wolfgang, PM sent.

Tom, thanks for the reminder. I actually have an original MAC. I even have Mac the knife fonts. Hmmmm, now how do I read those old disk into my new Mac Laptop? Time to get thinking.

ArtechnikA, I know it will only be close. Not being too artistic, I am hoping that the font will get me 90% there, and then I can play with it to get it where I want it.
