My buddy Daddydoright has a 914 6 with a carb thats leaking fuel from the lower gasket when he has it running. I pulled the carbs of it when i was visiting him in February and found a ton of silt on the bottom of the float bowls. I figured the float was sticking because of the gunk, well Daddydoright cleaned them up and put them back together using the old gaskets that appeared to be in good shape still.

I just registered him and will point him to this thread.

My ? to Daddydoright

Does it leak fuel when the fuel pump is on but the engine not started

or only when the engine is running.

? to World members- probable cause
