The pix are of a type I application, but they do make a type IV config as well.

They'll "fit" Type IV engines, but the exhaust is still facing the wrong direction......from what I read, only one casting (2, one right and one left), but it can be machined to fit different cases....

the exhaust can be made to work, you'd just need custom headers....

I think Jake built an engine using these, swore never to touch them again...(whatever happened to that motor, did he get the supercharger working??)

Is that price for one head or a pair or all 4??? I hate it when they don't list stuff like that. I think they'd be a good platform for converting to watercooled heads............

They're used for 1/2 VW aircraft engine conversions for experiemntal aircraft and ultralites. There used to be a shit hole company called Mosler who produced these engines. I was one of the unlucky recipients of one of their piece of shit engines. I had a full VW based 4 cyl with these Scat heads on it. It was so bad I never even tried to start it, long story!

There is no way to make a header that fits those heads and the stock cooling fan housing IMO.
They're only good for upright cooling converted engines.
