I'm 64 years old and have been racing on and off tracks all my life. I retired from the Army when I was 38 and met Sue who was 23 at the time in my lime green 914 Porsche. Some 20 years later I bought her a new Boxter and on the first day she came home with a ticket for illegal lane change times 4! The next weekend she joined the local SCCA as I figured she better learn how to handle that car since my harping was getting me no where. Four years later Sue is on the BOD for our club, won "Ladies fastest time of the day and first in class for the Las Vegas region SCCA in 2009. I'm known as "Pit crew guy" every since my heart attack/operation a few years back. Here's some of our autox cars, it's a joke around the club that we change cars every other race!
Formula V 1973 Fiat X/19 1985 MR2 2007 Soltice 2008 Honda S2000CR (we road race this one) 1972 Datsun 240Z 1999 Mazda Miata (turbo'ed 350hp) Sue blew it and still won the race with 2 clyinders! 1973 Porsche 914 our newest! I'm excited about being on this site and have great plans for our 914 as soon as Sue gives me my allowance. |

You can have your own 1970s SCCA rematch, 914 vs 240Z (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/welcome.png) |
