Pikes Peak, in my clubs "vintage" class
a really fun car, partial interior, pretty true to the day
really good driver:

IIRC - everything ~ EVERYTHING ~ was "optional equipment" on them, right down to heat & rubber floor mats, let alone a radio or something! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

That's a '63 1/2 and the fastback models were typically optioned out. Ford used that platform and the comparable Mercury Comets as a test bed for the 260/289 small blocks and put together a remarkable record for endurance and reliability.

Great pic, really gives a sensation of speed.

Nope. It races in A sedan
against all of the big bores and trans-am's
camaros, corvettes, shelbys, cuda's, javelins....
all of the big ground pounders.
