The insurance is going to accept my estimate for parts and I get paid for some of my labor on top of it minus a $500 deductible. It looks like all of the parts are off the shelf so maybe it won't take too much time to get it back together. The only item they balked at was new rings but, the guy put in a fudge factor to cover them and they agreed not to close the claim yet so, if I find other damage I can get it inspected and included.

We may never know the full details behind this incident, but suffice it to say, the cover story of a "near-accident" is standard procedure to protect the 914 World operatives who risked their lives to protect the Prime Minister during his recent visit to the WCR.
