I received this car in trade on April 25, 2010.

This car is VIN: 4742918753
Definitely NOT an LE Creamsicle, though the model year & factory color make it seem plausible. It is however, on it's way for you to make it a replica (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) PO already applied the orange Porsche rocker decals.

I know little about this car, other than It was originally a So. California car. It moved to Nevada and then came back to California. I have been given paperwork that has passed with this car, including the original window sticker. Per http://bowlsby.net/914/CanAm/, in the USA 2.0L cars were models 473444 and 473544. The original window sticker that came with this car says it is a model 473444.

I have driven this car a few times and it is an easy fun driver.
Feels like it needs wheel balancing after driving it on the freeway, however.

It had a good head gasket seal leak, but I got that fixed. The mechanic told me there is still some minor oil leakage from the push rod tube seals.

I don't know if the odometer reading is original miles, but it might be, in which case it is very low mileage.

The body is straight but has superficial rust in areas.
The paint, if original is in OK shape. Looks great from 10'.
The interior is very good, but not perfect.
Plumbed for AC but missing the compressor.
The current wheels seem to be basic VW steel wheels.
Tires are standard thin steel-belted tires with good tread.

This car is totally road worthy as-is, but could use some TLC.

My primary 914 6-cyl conversion needs an engine rebuild so, this poor 914 stepchild must go to a new home.

Asking $6,000.
Price reduced to $5,500 $4,500
(All other reasonable offers considered.)
