Is the jack post tube an odd metric size or will 1.25 x 1.25 x .125 acceptable? Everyone who sells it seems to want an awful lot for a 4" piece of tube.

I actually ordered one from restoration design but I may need another. I'll know once I tear into the other side. I am curious what the part on the far left is?
