Got the tranny back in today, and before tightening up the attaching bolts, the fork moved on the pivot freely. After tightening up the bolts, the fork is about 1/2" out from the case and locked down. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

Question: Does the pivot ball go down into the cup on the fork, or just 'float' on the top of the cup. I just held the fork in place over the ball and then tightened up the allen screw/clamp that holds the 2 together.

If this is ok, then I'm guessing I let the throwout bearing slip too far forward on the shaft as I mated the tranny to the motor, and missed that when tightening up the screws. Suggestions?

Thanks
