Well, I wonder what the average demographic for 914 owners would be.
At 28, I'm not the youngest here am I? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif) |

Bought my first 914 in 1974 at 22 years of age. My -6 came along when I was 25, and after a few 911s, another 914 (that I converted to a -6) was added to the collection about 10 years ago.
I guess that makes me another owner almost older than dirt. Other than my knees, I still feel like that 22 year old! You have to grow old, but you don't have to grow up! |

I'll be 41 this year. I took my first ride in a 914 when I was 13. It was a 16 hour trip with my uncle and his buddy; yeah, I sat in the middle the whole way. A couple of months after that trip, he and I had a couple of chics riding in the car with us. Did you know you could put 4 people in a teener? I've owned mine going on 6 years. Wish I had bought one sooner.

I remember when Elvis Presley was a comunist plot to subvert the morals of American youth. He got more respectable after he went into the army.....
(IMG:style_emoticons/default/slits.gif) 65 in a couple of weeks. First ride in a 914 was at the dealers in 1973, couldn't afford it... Had my car for about 15 years now... Harvey |

I am 58, saw my first teener in 73, thats why I wanted a 73. I was a young Private in the Air Force with enough money for a milkshake and a movie, loved the car from that moment on, should have bought one in 77 when I was in Germany, bought an Audi instead, not knocking it, the Audi was a great car. I am now the proud owner of a 73 2.0 which is all original except the stereo, got it in 2008, wife found it on line; it was my 20th anniversary gift.

This year = I turned 59
Next year = I will turn 49 My Name is Benjamin Button Seriously, though....................... First 73 2.0L in 76 after 3 years of torture from Steve Gaglione for not having one. That was Oly Blue. Beat the living crap out of that car. Second, 73 2.0L in Bahia Red - Beat that one from 81 to 84 in STL - Left for dead Third, 73 2.0L Black - Beat it to death from 84 to 88 in STL - Certified dead Fourth, 75 2.0L White - Ran initially, but turned it into a parts car and sold it off Fifth, 73 2.0L Signal Orange = Orangina LIVES! Sixth, 75 2.7L Palma Green Metallic Conversion - Sold it Seventh, 72 2.2T White Conversion - Track car and it is primer until I decide what color it will be. Eighth, It will be another 6 Conversion - Looking for one quietly, but I think I am pretty picky. Gaglione calls it a disease. I agree (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/screwy.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/barf.gif) John |
