Motor swap in the truck is done, prop valve on the rear of the Jeep is done, now 4 out of 6 cars are on the road again. OK, so one is a parts car. That only leaves one 914/6 to go. Motor and tranny are coming out this weekend to prep for body shop and rust/collision repair. The silver 72 donor is going under the knife (read, sawzall).
539 members now?!?!?!?! There better be some new pics in the pic thread. |

Ginter,
I thought you did'nt like us anymore. You must have been REAL busy. I just dropped a 9146 off at the painter today. Somewhere on the board there is a thread with a 9146 on the rotisserie. I think I named it: "I flipped a 914 today" Welcome back. Tell Wifey I said hello...then start planning on the SSI swap meet trip at the end of April. B |

I'm road-tripped out. After the truck dropped oil pressure 350 miles into the 1300 mile trip home, and then driving out to Oregon with a trailer to haul it back through the wind in Wyoming, I don't think I can do it again anytime soon.
I need to devote my time to getting the /6 back on the road. The more I can do, the less I'll have to spend. The guy fixing it does 914's and streetrods. He does good work. Tig's everything (sheet metal that is). He owns an original /6 himself and has a huge stash (for Denver) of 914 parts behind the shop. |

I don't think he knew. Cripes, the guy even went out and bought a floor jack for me for the trip home because he didn't think the truck had a jack. I didn't even tell him about it.
5 out of state cars in 3.5 years and one didn't make it. Not to bad really. |
