I received my registration notice with a "test only" smog requirement. That didn't sound good as the brochure noted it was primarily for likely high pollution vehicles. I made an appointment and brought the car in. In California, they now put the cars an dynos when performing the check. Good news-car passed with extremely low emission results (@25 mph HC:5ppm; CO% .01; NO 160). However, when I drove the car home it seems like the clutch is abnormal, doesn't seem like its slipping but is making a very strange noise. Don't know but happy it passed smog for another 2 years. My seller got mine smogged when I bought it from him in February. I'm hoping the rolling 30 year law is not defeated or I'll be back again in 2/06!
