Hi All -
Just found a set of 15x9 replica fuchs. Thinking about throwing them on the rear of my car and throwing the 8"'s up front (if I can find tires....). Anyone have any pics of 9" rears under fiberglass flares? Thanks a million - (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) Scott S |

for street tires 225x50 are the widest Wow, It's really getting hard to find a performance tire in the right size to fit that rim size now! .....I actually sold my 15x8 and 15x9s because of that very reason and I bought 16x7s for the front and put 16x9s on the rear with glass flairs....I even used a 1/4 " spacer on the back....Fit is perfect. Check out pics at 914 club...under Speedster Mike Photos. Good Luck! |

Running 245/50/16 tires on 16x9' fuchs replicas on back....they fill the fenders out really good...It's a pretty wide set of tires....No clearence problams at all.......looks great from the rear ...Stock GT flares !
You can see pics on the 914Club forum ...look under (Gallery) Speedster Mikes GT Replica...Sorry I could'nt post them here, I don't have access to that photo file here at my office. |

Replica fuchs, 7x16's and 8x16's with 205's and 225's stock sizes.
fiberglass flares with the rear inner lip sanded off. It was a really close fit. Stock size flares. I don't think 9's would have fit back there. Attached image(s) |

I have 16in 245's on 9in BBS rims on the back with FG flares. They're offset is different from the other set of Fuchs, but different spacers make it easy. The inner-well lips had to be filed a bit to get them into the well and neg-camber is usually between 2 and 3 degrees. Point is there is some variation in the flare installations that may determine your clearance, but 15's would be easier for sure.

And in case you're wondering, because it's not an unusual position, this is what 8's and 9's look like on jack stands. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
