1972 914 with 1973 doors. The passenger was easy but the driver side is killing me. The problem is getting the gap between the protection cap and the attachment strip gasket to "0". by adjusting thr shoulder bolt almost all the way out and loosening the wing window bolts, than pulling back and tightening, I am able to close the gap. However, when i do this and roll up the window, it closes nice and tight, but it pre loads the door something fierce.
this seems like a bad idea. Ive go about 10 hours into this "adjustment" including: making sure door is square, making sure car is square, subsituting almost every part (I have quite the spare part colection) all to no avail.
Any ideas?
thanks chrispy
