I'm planning to shoot the inner sails / underside of the targa bar this coming weekend. When I primed these same panels I found it very awkward to reach in and maneuver my gravity feed HVLP gun from the outside of the car in these tight spaces. Since the rear window and engine are out, I was planning to stand in the engine bay and shoot it from there. I have a detail gun, but it just doesn't atomize paint as well as the larger gun so I don't want to use it here. Previous paint job was all orange peeled throughout this area, so I'm hoping for much better results. I'm using a urethane base followed with clear. For those have done it, what worked well for you?
